SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Council Nominating Committee met on May 14, 2013 and recommends the following
appointments:
Arts Commission Community Representative -- reappoint John Cooper
Board of Appeals -- reappoint Terry Poe, Jim Johnston, Rod Cassel and James Fickel
Historic Preservation Commission -- reappoint Nancy Rayner
Parks and Recreation Commission -- reappoint Rod Bryant, Mike Nixon, Tom Hinman and
Morgan Pualani
Public Facilities District -- appoint Tim Critchlow and David Heinl
SE Community Center -- reappoint Johnnie Harvey

Council members discussed the following committees
Arts Commission
John Cooper— Community Rep —would like to be reappointed
Vacant — Community Rep (one application on file)
It was Committee consensus to reappoint John Cooper and leave the other position
vacant at this time due to a recent PSA advertising the position and the number of
members on this committee.

It was Committee consensus to reappoint all members.
Historic Preservation Commission
Joe Mann-2 nd term ends 6/30/13 -- this Committee is limited to 2 terms
Nancy Rayner

It was Committee consensus to reappoint Nancy Rayner and ask the City Attorney to
revise the ordinance extending the term from 3 to 4 years and change the 2 year term
limit to unlimited.
