ITEM TITLE: Discussion item Update on Youth Crime and Gangs

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

Chief Murray, Captain Seely, and the Yakima Police Gang Unit will present information to Yakima
City Council regarding an update on the gangs of Yakima. The group will discuss the recent gang
activity violent crime and the impact in our community. We will also be discussing plans to
address the issues and future direction.
