,point resolution to provide for setting aside an appropriate day as a National Day of
Prayer (Pubfic Law 82 -324; 66 Stat. 64); and
U,9aRE,AS, the History of our nation is indelibly marked with the role that
prayer Has played in the fives of individuals and the nation; and
U,9aREAS, Historically, our greatest leaders Have turned to prayer in times of
crisis and tfiianksgiving; and
U,9a ,E,AS, the virtues of prayer reflect a common bond Hopes and aspirations,
sorrows and fears, remorse and renewed resolve, thanks and joyfufpraise, and love; and
