BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Section 1.42.026 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows 1.42.026 Residence of members. No person shall hold the office of member of the City Planning Commission unless that person is either 1) a resident of the City of Yakima, or 2) an owner of a business or of real property that is located within the City of Yakima. The office of member of the City Planning Commission shall become vacant upon such member ceasing to meet the requirements of either 1 or 2, or both, as described in this Sectionrcsidc in the City. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
