4. Consent Agenda
Items listed are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion
without discussion. A citizen or Council member may request to remove an item from the
Consent Agenda and, if approved, it will be placed on the regular agenda for discussion and
consideration.

B. 2012 3rd Quarter Capital Improvement Projects Report.
C. Set Dates for Public Hearings on 2013 Budget: A. 2013 Proposed Budget; B.
2013 Ad Valorem (Property) Tax
D. Resolution authorizing an agreement withYakima School District No. 7 — YV
TECH to allow the use of the Yakima Fire Departments training facility to
provide educational services for Fire Fighter Cadet training.
E. Resolution authorizing a grant agreement with the Washington State Office
of Public Defense to support indigent defense expenses.
F. Resolution authorizing annual renewal of the City Manager's authority to
resolve and settle any claims against or by the City of Yakima in an amount
of $100,000 or Tess, and to execute all documents necessary to the
resolution or settlement of such claims.
G. Resolution authorizing agreements with Yakima County, through the Office of
Aging and Long Term Care (ALTO) for the Adult Day Care and Respite
Services Program and the Foot Care Services Program at the Harman
Center.
H. Resolution authorizing temporary cold weather shelters.
I. Second reading of an Ordinance amending the 2012 budget for the City of
Yakima; and making appropriations from Unappropriated Fund Balances
within various Funds for expenditure during 2012 as_noted in the summary
attached.
J. Ordinance amendment eliminating longevity pay for newly hired •
unrepresented management group employees.
K. Ordinance amendment eliminating the tax deferred compensation plan for
newly hired unrepresented management group employees contained in YMC
2.20.130.
5. Audience Participation
Community members are invited to address items that are not listed on the regular business
meeting agenda A guideline of three (3) minutes per speaker is in place in order to allow as
much opportunity as possible for audience participation. A speaker's time may be extended at
the discretion of the Mayor and /or the consensus or vote of the Council. Written
communication and e-mail messages are strongly encouraged.

7. Resolution naming Apple Valley Kiwanis Skate Park in Memory of Ron Bonlender
8. Resolution authorizing lease agreement with Sunfair Professional Associates, LLC,
for city on -site clinic.
9. Resolution authorizing a settlement entered into by insurance company St. Paul
Fire and Marine Insurance Company ( "Travelers ") to resolve and settle the lawsuit
brought by Elaine Gonzalez.
10. Adjournment
The next meeting will be a Council Study Session on November 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. in
the Council Chambers.
