SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Please see attached Power Point presentation titled "Trek Yakima." The last discussion that
City Council conducted regarding an Metropolitan Park District elicited the need to identify
IP an attractive and compelling vision for the community to embrace if an expansion of Parks
and Recreation activities were to be considered. The citizen survey conducted at mid year
identified walking and hiking opportunities as a highly valued activity. This study session
topic presents the concept of expanded pathway and hiking in the greater Yakima area.
