ITEM TITLE: Discussion item regarding the nexus between gang graffiti and
violent crime

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Chief Murray and Commander Davis will present information to Yakima City Council regarding the
nexus between gang graffiti and violent crime. They will detail the City's efforts at abatement and
answer questions about how to increase community involvement and expand the City's
response.
