RE: Financing PD Communications Equipment

2021 Budget:
The fund balance for the .3% Law& Justice Capital (Fund 303) is currently projected to end 2020
with a balance of $675,000. Finance recommends a 2021 Budget Amendment appropriating
$350,000 in the current year for spending and will incorporate this into the first planned quarterly
2021 Budget Amendment. The fund balance comes from revenues restricted for purposes that
included this use.
Future Year Budgets:
This multi-year plan should be added to the 2022 5-year Capital Budget Process, adding the .3%
Law& Justice Capital Fund 303 to long term planning. By this procedural change, the long-term
funding of the Capital Fund can be planned and funded sufficiently for out-years 2023-2025.
