provided to the City Council prior to the meeting. MINUTES
1. Roll Call
Council: Mayor Patricia Byers, presiding, Councilmembers Kay Funk, Soneya Lund and Eliana
Macias (all attending via Zoom)
Staff: City Manager Robert Harrison, Communications and Public Affairs Director Randy Beehler
and City Clerk Sonya Claar Tee
Absent: Councilmember Brad Hill (excused) and Assistant Mayor Holly Cousens and
Councilmember Jason White
Guests: Members of the 14th District State Legislative Delegation (Senator King, Representative
Corry, Representative Mosbrucker) and 15th District State Legislative Delegation (Senator
Honeyford, Representative Chandler, Representative Dufault). Additionally, City the City's Olympia
lobbyists, Nick Federici and Luke Esser.
2. Discussion of City of Yakima 2021 State Legislative Priorities
Communications and Public Affairs Director Beehler reviewed the City's legislative priorities.
Council members discussed the priorities with state legislators, city lobbyists and city staff including
Water & Irrigation Manager Dave Brown and Parks & Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson.
3. Adjournment
MOTION: Funk moved and Lund seconded to adjourn to the next City Council regular
meeting on January 5, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. The motion carried by unanimous vote, Hill,
Cousens and White absent. The meeting adjourned at 2:02 p.m.
