CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON
SEPTEMBER 20, 1994
SPECIAL MEETING
1. ROLL CALL
The City Council met in session on this date at 2:00 p.m.,
in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Pat Berndt,
presiding, Council Members Clarence Barnett, Ernie Berger,
Lynn Buchanan, and Bernard Sims present on roll call.
Counncil Members Henry Beauchamp and Bill Brado absent and
excused. Assistant City Manager Rice, Assistant City
Attorney Peterson, and City Clerk Roberts also present.
2. INVOCATION /PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pat Berndt.
3. PUBLIC MEETING TO CONSIDER FINAL PLAT OF THE YAKIMA GATEWAY
CENTER, REQUESTED BY GARY LUKEHART
This being the time set for the public meeting, Mayor Berndt
explained that since this project has been before Council in
several forms in the past, no oral staff report will be
presented.
Mayor Berndt opened the public meeting and asked if there was
anyone to speak either for or against the proposal. There
being no one, she closed the public meeting. She indicated
that all questions previously asked have received responses.
Resolution No. R -94 -126 having been read by title, it was
MOVED BY SIMS, SECONDED BY BARNETT, TO ADOPT THE RESOLUTION.
The motion carried by unanimous roll call vote; Beauchamp and
Brado absent.
A RESOLUTION NO. R - 94 - 126, A RESOLUTION approving, subject to
several conditions, the final plat of the Yakima Gateway
Center for 10 commercial lots in the northwest quadrant of
the area divided by Interstate 82 and Yakima Avenue,
submitted by First Western Development Services, Inc. on
behalf of Gary D. Lukehart and Mary M. Lukehart; and
authorizing the Mayor to sign the final plat for the Yakima
Gateway Center.
Resolution No. R -94 -127 having been read by title, it was
MOVED BY SIMS, SECONDED BY BARNETT, TO ADOPT THE RESOLUTION.
The motion carried by unanimous roll call vote; Beauchamp and
Brado absent.

RESOLUTION NO. R -94 -127, A RESOLUTION authorizing the City
Manager and City Clerk of the City of Yakima to execute a
Quit Claim Deed to release easements_ across property owned by
Gary D. Lukehart and Mary M. Lukehart, husband and wife.

There being no further business before the Council, it was
MOVED BY SIMS, SECONDED BY BUCHANAN, TO ADJOURN THE MEETING
AT 2:03 P.M. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote;
Beauchamp and Brado absent.
