Joan Davenport, Planning Manager, Acting CED Director 576-6417 Christine Wilson, Assistant Planner 576-6736 The Yakima School District has submitted the following three petitions for the vacation of portions of two public streets and one alley in the vicinity of the Davis High School campus located at 212 South 6th Avenue: (1) Petition No. 12-02: The alley north of West Pine Street between South 6th and 7th Avenues; (2) Petition No. 12-03: West Spruce Street between the alley east of South 7th Avenue and the alley west of South 7th Avenue; and (3) Petition No. 12-04: South 7th Avenue between West Walnut Avenue and West Pine Street. The vacation requests are associated with the modernization and expansion of the existing A.C. Davis Senior High School buildings and campus. New building additions will increase the size of the school facility from approximately 243,000 square feet to approximately 328,000 square feet on various levels. Traffic and parking proposals include the vacation of the subject streets and alley, additional parking, a pedestrian courtyard, and a skybridge.
