June 26, 2012 (originally scheduled for June 27)
Mayor's Office
Present: Council: Maureen Adkison, Sara Bristol and Rick Ensey
Staff: Sonya Claar Tee, Jodi Stephens and Joan Davenport
Chair Sara Bristol called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m.
The Committee reviewed applications for vacancies on various City Boards &
Committees.
The Committee recommends the following appointments:
Arts Commission
Community appointment: Jan Lowell and Noel Moxley
Working Artist appointment: Gloria Garcia and Cheryl Hahn
Confirm The Seasons appointment: Stephanie Clevenger
Confirm the Yakima Valley Museum appointment: Andy Granitto
Confirm the Capitol Theatre's appointment: Gay Dorsey
City of Yakima Planning Commission
Betty Carley and Dave Fonfara
Yakima Historic Preservation Commission
Reappoint Karl Pasten
One position remains vacant —no applications on file
Air Terminal Board
Reappoint Bill Wheeler
Board of Appeals
Reappoint Jeffrey Louman
Reappoint Barbara Cline
Community Review Board
Reappoint Bob Mason
Reappoint Gregory Bohn
Remove Nestor Hernandez due to lack of attendance
Appoint Judy Pozarich to replace Mr. Hernandez
Downtown Yakima Parking Commission
Four current vacancies and no applications on file —does not have a quorum
The Committee recommends disbanding the Commission and repealing the ordinance.
Possibly ask the DYBID Board to discuss taking on this role.
