CONTACT Doug Mayo, City Engineer, 576 -6678 PERSON /TELEPHONE: SUMMARY EXPLANATION: This action would set June 19, 2012 as the date for a public hearing to amend the six -year TIP. An amendment to the 2012 -2017 six -year TIP is required to modify the amount and types of funds that will be used to construct the Yakima Grade Separations Project, Phase 3 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Underpass. The purpose of this amendment is to include an additional $5 million of Surface Transportation Program funds for phase 3 of the Yakima Railroad Grade Separations - Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Underpass, and to modify the amounts of other funding sources as appropriate. R -2012- A RESOLUTION fixing the time and place of a hearing for June 19, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall to amend the 2012 through 2017 Six - Year Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). WHEREAS, the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima for the ensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State and Federal law, and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has identified a need to amend the current Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima; and WHEREAS, a public hearing must be held on said amended program before final approval, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That said amended program shall be presented for hearing and determination on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the hour of 7 PM on said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Yakima, at Yakima City Hall, Yakima, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as approved by law.
