We had many of those concerns in mind when we planned the maintenance project. In this case, besides the normal public notice put out to the media, the crew leader met with each business along D Street to explain the project and work out any necessary accommodations. The project was scheduled to avoid affecting the seasonal fruit packing operations that will be starting soon. For the coffee shop at the corner of 1St Street and D Street, we scheduled work away from that corner until after the peak morning hours. The 1 Street driveway was never closed and the left turn lane closure on 1 Street was adjusted to accommodate traffic to that site. The crew leader was on -site throughout the project. There were a few times when trucks from the packing plants had to be guided through the work zone but the fire station did not experience any delay in emergency response due to the work. None of the adjacent businesses brought any complaints to him during the work. The work was completed before noon on Thursday this week, one -half day ahead of schedule. �'v"? Since you brought to our attention a potential discrepancy of right of way near the northern project limits. we had a professional surveying company set the property corner pins for the Mel's Diner property this past week. Thai properly is identified as parcel #191319-22401: 314 N 1' Street. The survey determined that the new sidewalk is within the street right -of -way and the properry pin sets behind the back of sidewalk. No additional right of way was "taken" or used for this project from the MeY s Diner Property. Please review the following photographs. You will see that the location of the property pins and projection of right-of-way lines confirm our understanding of concern with the property lines for the Mel's Diner property.
