` itEREAS, (Yakima, Washington, `U.S.A. and Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico have
built strong ties between their communities thanks to a shared commitment to develop
a positive and productive Sister City relationship; and
.IIPEAS, the Sister Cities program fosters mutual respect, understanding, and
cooperation through its active glo6al citizen diplomac network and
`GV'JPE AS, numerous visits 6y delegations from each Sister City to the other have
proven tremendously worthwhile 6y creating count opportunities for cultural,
educational, and economic e between (Yakima and Morelia; and
` IPE AS, the (Yakima- Morelia Sister City relationship has sign candy enriched
both communities since it began; and
ERAS, the dedicated members of the (Yakima - Morelia Sister City Association
continue to enthusiastically promote friendship and coflatoration between our two
communities and our two countries; and
ERAS, (Yakima is proud to host a distinguished delegation from Morelia and
extends warm wishes for a valuable and 6eneficial visit,
