ITEM TITLE: Response to comments from Candi Turner at the City Council
Meeting of March 6, 2012, regarding traffic signal at 64th Avenue
and Washington.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
During the Audience Participation segment of the March 6th Council meeting Ms. Candie Turner,
asked, "When is there going to be a traffic Tight at 64th Avenue and Washington ?" Construction bids
were opened on this project on October 25th (2011). The low bidder was Knobel's Electric with a bid
of $245,110.
III In follow -up discussion, Knobel's Electric, a local private contractor, indicated that they proceeded to
order the signal poles immediately following the contract award last fall. As of March 28th, the signal
poles have been installed. The contractor is installing the signal heads on the arms at their shop. Not
withstanding unforeseen problems, final installation and activation will be before April 6th.
