Morales, Interim City Manager DT: March 5, 2012 RE: Past due assessments At the February 21 City Council meeting there was a request made to see a list of all Downtown Yakima Business Improvement District accounts that are past due or were turned over to collection. The following list shows the business or property owner and the amount that was turned over to collection or is more than 120 days past due. If you would like me to do anything else please let me know. (c) Increase monthly City contribution to MERP (retiree medical trust) to $75.00 from $45.00 (effective 03/01/12) (d) Increase City paid life insurance to $100,000 from $20,000. (e) Minimum manning of 19 firefighters — if 18 report, then manning at 20 Effective 1/1/13: (a) Wage increase of CPI blend — minimum 0% - maximum 3.5% (b) 1% increase City contribution to Deferred Compensation to 5% from 4% (c) Continue minimum manning at 19 — if 18 report, then manning at 20 Effective 1/1/14: (a) Wage increase of CPI blend — minimum 0% - maximum 3.5% (b) 0.5% increase City contribution to Deferred Compensation to 5.5% from 5% (d) Minimum manning at 20 The total unbudgeted settlement package for IAFF LEOFF for 2012 is estimated at 2.9% or approximately $207,710. The cost for 2013 is estimated at 4.44% or approximately $324,227 and for 2014 at 4.17% or approximately $318,263 for an estimated 3 year total of $850,200 or 12.1% for this 78 member bargaining unit. If the Council approves the 2012 -2014 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the IAFF LEOFF Unit an appropriation ordinance authorizing the use of reserves will be brought back to the Council.
