AUGUST 11, 1992
ADJOURNED MEETING
The City Council met in session on this date at 7:00 a.m. at the
Yakima Center Board Room for informal discussion. Mayor Pat Berndt
presiding, Council Members Clarence Barnett, Bill Brado,
Lynn Buchanan, Skip Semon, and Bernard Sims present. Council
Member Beauchamp absent and excused. City staff members present
were City Manager Zais, Assistant City Manager Rice, Administrative
Assistant to the City Manager Oliver, Director of Engineering and
Utilities Covell, and Deputy City Clerk Skovald.
City Manager Zais reported the need for emergency repairs at
Eisenhower Pool. A rupture in a water line was the cause.
Dennis Covell, Director of Engineering and Utilities, presented a
preliminary report on the possibility of accommodating the
Applewood Golf Course with sewer.
Council members discussed funding options for the new police
facility and the proposed In- Lieu -of Tax increase.
Following further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 8:20 a.m.
