DYB|D Business and Property Owners:
The Yakima City Council, through Ordinance 2012-0I dated January lCi 2012. and Ordinance
2012'49 dated December 4` 2012, established the Downtown Yak' a Business Improvement
District /OYB|D\ Advisory Board to provide direct communication between the assessed
participants of the QYB|D and the City Council. Following the initial election of Advisory Board
members that initially met a few times each year, all past board rnennbery'1ermns have expired sq
the Board hasn't met for a period of time.
Given that the original DYB/D Advisory Board in functionally defunct,:ithe City is seeking to assist
the DY8|D members in reconstituting the DYB|D Advisory Board. The original appointment
. process provided for membership self-nomination, after which iall names submitted for
nomination were included in a ballot that was distributed to all assess/ en1 paying members who
were requested to vote for five board member positions,
|n order to effectively reconstitute the Advisory Board,the City isno '�ting self-nominations
for candidates to serve on the Advisory Board. There are five available openings. To be eligible to
be placed on the ballot, the individual must be current and in good

standing with the DYB|D
assessment and must have a business and/or property within the boundaries of the DYB|D.
Please submit your nominations to the City by November 8, 2020. /
We are hopeful that you, as a member of the District, shall consider running for one of the open
