Review current brochure: Michael Morales and Jeff Louman introduced the current draft of
the brochure. The brochure is a conceptual marketing tool that will be used to ask for funding.
There was general discussion of about how much detail to include in the brochure. Language
will be added about the length of the project (number of blocks) and to imply a connection with
the Cascade Mill District Redevelopment Area.
The brochure will go to the full City Council on October 18. Kathy Coffey encouraged the
community members to attend in support.
Crime Free Rental Housing and Crime Free Hotel Programs: Joe Caruso and Ritch Fowler
talked about the Crime Free Rental Housing Program and the new Crime Free Hotel Program.
Fowler was recently trained in the hotel program. Fowler is available to help the North First
Street community with both programs. He added that another Crime Free Housing class will
happen in the near future.
