Transit Items
All the items on the Transit agenda were discussed. •
• Transit is in the property appraisal step for its West side facility.
• Dial -A -Ride contract's top three contenders' status will be revisited at the August 18 Council
Transit /Transpiration before going to full council for final determination.
• Ellensburg project is on a stand still for the time being.
• Transit is reviewing the bids for the Transit Center misting project
• 4 of July shuttle provided 200 more rides this year compare to the last.
• Transit is applying for several capital grants for equipment purchases.
Transportation Items
A discussion was held with the Committee members to answer any remaining questions from the
presentation to the City Council and to get clarification on how we are to proceed towards a resolution of
the funding alternatives. A City Council study session is to be held on September 22, 2011. The pros and
cons of the available funding methods are to be presented along with an explanation of how to initiate a
transportation benefit district in the city.
