ITEM TITLE: Cancel July 19, 2011, as the date for the first Public Hearing (now scheduled for
August 2, 2011) to consider amendments to the City of Yakima 2011 Annual
Action Plan regarding the reduction of CDBG & HOME program funding, and set
date of August 16, 2011, for the final public hearing.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION: On July 5, 2011, the Yakima City Council set the dates of July 19,
2011 and August 2, 2011, to hold Public Hearings to consider amendments to the City of
Yakima 2011 Annual Action Plan regarding the reduction of CDBG & HOME program funding.
This action cancels the July 19, 2011 public hearing and sets August 16, 2011, as the date for
the second Public Hearing.
The Public Hearings will allow citizens to comment on the proposed amendments to the City of
Yakima 2011 Annual Action Plan. The first public hearing will be held August 2, 2011, and final
public hearing will be held at the following City Council Business meeting on August 16, 2011.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Cancel the July 19, 2011 Public Hearing, hold the August 2,
2011 hearing as planned, and set August 16, 2011 as the date for the second Public Hearing.
