SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The City of Yakima Planning Commission has reviewed and will issue a written recommendation
to the City Council on the single application submitted as part of the 2020 Comprehensive Plan
Amendment and Rezone process.
The request was submitted by Hordan Planning Services on behalf of property owner Les
Heimgartner. The application proposes to change the Future Land Use map designation for
property located at 8014 Occidental Rd. from Low Density Residential to Mixed Residential, and
concurrently rezone the parcel from Single-Family Residential (R-1)to Multifamily Residential (R-
3). The complete record will be provided in advance of the November 3, 2020, public hearing
date.
