COUNCIL NOMINATING COMMITTEE MINUTES
City Manager's Conference Room
Wednesday, September 1, 2020
Meeting convened at 1:02 P.M.
Council present: Byers, Funk (via speakerphone) and Macias (via speakerphone)
Staff present: Sonya Clear Tee, City Clerk
1. New business—Committee consensus for Macias to chair the meeting
A. Review boards & committee applications:
• Community Integration Committee. The Committee contacted one
of the references for Mr. Ramos, which was a positive
endorsement. MOTION: Byers moved and Funk seconded to
recommend appointment of Murshed Ramos to the youth position.
The motion carried by unanimous vote.
• Tree City USA. MOTION: Funk moved and Byers seconded to
recommend appointment of Daniel Layton, certified arborist. The
motion carried by unanimous vote.
2. Adjournment—the meeting adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
