Request for Traffic Volume Information
At the June 21 meeting of the City Council, Toni Courcy requested traffic volume
information on 16 Avenue. Not knowing which section of 16 Avenue was of concern, I
have provided a table with the most recent traffic counts we have on 16th Avenue.

The most recent counts on 16 Avenue were done in October of 2008. These counts
are probably close to what exists today as there have been no major development
projects in the area and population growth has been relatively flat since that time. The
exception to this may be in the area between Nob Hill Boulevard and Washington
Avenue. The connection of Valley Mall Boulevard to Washington Avenue at 16 Avenue
likely will lead to an increase in traffic in that area.
