A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA AND YAKIMA COUNTY
authorizing, ratifying, and adopting Amendment Number 1 to Grant Agreement for
project number 3-53-0089-12 and for Federal Assistance between the Federal
Aviation Administration and the Yakima International Airport.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima ("City") and Yakima County ("County") are
co-owners of the Yakima International Airport (formerly known as the Yakima Air
Terminal); and
WHEREAS, the Grant Agreement for project number 3-53-0089-12 between
the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "FAA"), acting
for and on behalf of the United States, and the City of Yakima, Washington, and the
County of Yakima, Washington (hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor"), was
accepted by said Sponsor on September 19, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the FAA and the Sponsor mutually desire to amend the grant
agreement to provide that the maximum obligation of the United States payable
under this Grant Agreement shall be increased from $220,820.00 to $222,925.46, to
provide specifically:
$ 63,000.00 for planning
$ 159,925.46 for airport development or noise program implementation
WHEREAS, the FAA has requested as a condition precedent to funding by the
United States of the allowable costs incurred in the Project, that the City authorize
the City Manager and City Attorney for the City of Yakima and the County authorize
the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners and Prosecuting Attorney for
Yakima County to accept and execute Grant Amendment Number 1 to AIP 3-53-
0089-12 and Certificate of Sponsor's Attorney:

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Amendment Number 1 to Grant Agreement for Project Number 3-53-0089-12,
a true copy of which is attached and incorporated by reference, is authorized and
accepted by the City of Yakima. Furthermore, the City Manager and City Attorney of
the City of Yakima are hereby authorized to execute the Grant Amendment and to
execute other such documents as may be required.

Amendment Number 1 to Grant Agreement for Project Number 3-53-0089-12,
a true copy of which is attached and incorporated by reference, is authorized and
accepted by Yakima County. Furthermore, the Chair of the Board of Yakima County
Commissioners and the Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney are hereby authorized
to execute the Grant Amendment and to execute other such documents as may be
required.

AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NUMBER 3-53-0089-12
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to
as the "FAA") has determined it to be in the interest of the United
States that the Grant Agreement between the FAA, acting for and on
behalf of the United States and the City of Yakima, Washington and the
County of Yakima, Washington (hereinafter referred to as the
"Sponsor"), accepted by said sponsor on the 19th day of September,
1991, to be amended as hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, WITNESSETH:
That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto,
the FAA on behalf of the United States, on one part, and the Sponsor,
on the other part, do hereby mutually agree as follows:
That the maximum obligation of the United States
payable under this Grant Agreement shall be increased
from $220,820.00 to $222,925.46.

$159,925.46
for planning
for airport development or noise
program implementation
This Amendment shall expire unless it has been accepted by the Sponsor
on or before March 24, 1997.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to
said Grant Agreement to be duly executed.

ITEM TITLE: Consideration of Joint Resolutions Ratifying and Adopting Amendments
Numbers 1 and 3 to Grant Agreement

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The first Joint Resolution ratifies and adopts Amendment Number 1 to the Grant Agreement with
the FAA. Amendment number 1 increases the dollar amount for planning and airport
development or noise program implementation.
The second Joint Resolution ratifies and adopts Amendment Number 3 to the Grant Agreement
with the FAA. Amendment number 3 modifies the scope of work as follows:
• "Update Airport Layout Plan" and "Construct Air Cargo Apron (design only)" - deleted
• Revised grant work description shall be:
Rehabilitate runway 9/27 high intensity runway lighting; acquire snow removal
equipment; rehabilitate taxiway guidance signs; install security fencing; install security
improvements.
