Dear Mr. Peterson:
At your request I am providing this engagement letter as the basis for preparing an appraisal on
the above referenced property. The subject property is a site containing 0.23 acres, located along
24th Avenue within the city of Yakima. It is my understanding that the appraisal will be utilized
to assist you in establishing the market value of the property for the potential sale as it will be
surplused. The appraisal will be prepared with the intent to be in conformity with the
requirements of the Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
of the Appraisal Institute, which includes the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal
Practice. The appraisal will be completed utilizing the WSDOT appraisal report format.
The total fee to complete the appraisal is $4,300 with the fee to be paid at the time the appraisal
report is completed. The appraisal will be provided within thirty days of engagement. If you are
in agreement with this proposal and would like to engage our services, please return a signed
copy of this letter. We will begin the appraisal upon receipt of the signed engagement letter.
