Project No 1101 02
Fee Proposal for North HVAC Sound Study
Dear Mr Zais
Per direction from Glenn Rice, the following is our proposal for a mechanical equipment noise study
as requested by the Public Facilities District board.
Scope will consist of the following:
• Develop alternatives with mechanical, electrical, structural and acoustical consultants to solve
excessive noise coming from existing rooftop heating, ventilating and air conditioning
equipment.
• Solutions will address the building structural vibration caused by the mechanical equipment.
• Alternatives may include removal of some or all units from the roof and the feasibility of each
alternative from cost and Convention Center event disruption standpoints.
Our fee for the study will be $20,000
If the above is in accord with your expectations, please sign and return one copy of this letter, thereby
authorizing us to proceed with the study
Sincerely
Principal

expansion of the Convention Center and is necessary for future consideration.
Wardell Architects has provided a proposal to amend their current contract to perform
this additional study for $20,000. Staff recommends Council approve the noise study
