A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the City Manager of the City of Yakima to
execute an addendum to the services agreement with Steven W.
Liddicoat for additional design, project management and contract
administration services concerning the Yakima Wine Information
Center Project.
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council Resolution No. R-2002-52, the City of Yakima
contracted with Steven W. Liddicoat to provide professional services as a design and
project manager for the Yakima Wine Information Center Project; and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2003, the City Council approved a "Supporting
Investments in Economic Development" (SIED) loan for additional work to the
Information Center Project; and
WHEREAS, the work funded by the SIED loan necessitates additional design,
project management and contract administration services; and
WHEREAS, Steven W. Liddicoat is willing to provide these additional services in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the attached addendum to the current
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of
Yakima to authorize execution of the attached addendum to the existing services
agreement with Steven W. Liddicoat, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager of the City of Yakima is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the attached and incorporated addendum to the services agreement with Steven
W. Liddicoat for additional design, project management and contract administration
services concerning the Wine Information Center Project.

ITEM TITLE: Resolution Authorizing an Addendum to the Services Agreement for the
Wine Information Center Project with Steven W. Liddicoat.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Community & Economic Development Department respectfully requests City Council
approval of a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the attached Addendum
to the existing services agreement with Steven W. Liddicoat. City Council approved the
original services agreement with Mr. Liddicoat on May 7, 2002 by City Council Resolution
No. R-2002-52.
On February 4, 2003 City Council approved the Supporting Investments in Economic
Development (SIED) Loan for additional work adjacent to the Visitor Information Center
Project and Mr. Liddicoat's expertise is required to proceed with design of the additional
parking area, landscaping and site improvements along with additional project
management and assistance with contract administration.
The attached addendum to the services agreement is for an amount not to exceed $9,700 in
fees and services. Construction is anticipated to cost $140,000.
