COVID - 19 Communication Response The City of Yakima Community Relations Office plays a vital role in relaying messaging both from the City and the County on COVID-19: • The "Mayor's Message" video series • A City webpage dedicated to the coronavirus • News releases for City responses to the virus, sharing Health District releases • A webpage for the City's online services and City department phone numbers • "Y-PAC checkins" program • Tutorial videos in English and Spanish for YPD about online reporting • Sharing YFD information regarding personal protective equipment • Sharing City messages about the virus in the Issues Brief e-newsletter • "Yakima Minute" episode about City online services. • Creating informational bulletins that appear on Y-PAC • Producing twice-weekly updates for Yakima Health District • Airing Gov. Inslee news conferences on Y PAC and on Facebook • Frequent sharing of COVID-19 information on City social media platforms • Reinforcing precautionary measures across City platforms COVID - 19 Community R Public response to City communications on COVID- 19 is tremendous.
