A RESOLUTION declaring ER 2164, a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 extended cab pickup, VIN #
1GCCS19Z2S8232697, ER 1298, a 1990 Ford Fiesta, VIN# KNJPT05H2L6144488, ER 3159,
A 1990 Ford Club XLT 15 passenger van, VIN # 1 FBJS31 M8LHA61916, surplus to the needs
of the City of Yakima, and authorizing their sale in a manner most beneficial to the City of
Yakima.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns various rolling stock vehicles and construction
equipment (reference enclosed two page listing already approved as surplus by the Council
on March 20, 2007) for which the City has no immediate or foreseeable use and which are
surplus to the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned equipment is creating a congestion problem at the
Public Works Department complex, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to
dispose of said rolling stock vehicles and construction equipment, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned ER 2164, ER 1298, and ER 3159 to
be surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to sell said vehicles in a manner most beneficial to the City of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 17th day of July, 2007.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
At the March 20, 2007 City Council Meeting, the Council approved Resolution R-2007-34
declaring surplus several pieces of equipment and rolling stock. Three vehicles, ER 2164, a
1995 Chevrolet S-10 extended cab pickup, VIN # 1GCCS19Z2S8232697, ER 1298, a 1990
Ford Fiesta, VIN# KNJPT05H2L6144488, ER 3159, A 1990 Ford Club XLT 15 passenger van,
VIN # 1 FBJS31 M8LHA61916, were inadvertently left off that list. Staff respectfully requests
that these vehicles be added to the surplus list and that the City Manager be authorized to
dispose of these vehicles in a manner most beneficial to the City of Yakima.
