This vehicle was purchased in 1999 with PBIA funds at the request of DARC (Downtown Area
Redevelopment Committee) for city parks crews performing routine maintenance in the downtown
area. The City of Yakima is currently the registered owner and has maintained the vehicle since
being purchased. The Committee for Downtown Yakima (CDY) is now performing the downtown
area maintenance under contract. Transfer of this vehicle from the City of Yakima to CDY is an
appropriate housekeeping measure to relieve the City from potential maintenance and liability
issues. The attached resolution provides for the transfer.
