` WEREt7S, Lemonade Day is good for kids, good for business and goods for(Yakima,
and the (Yakima Chamber 'Foundation along with other companies and organizations, are
joining forces to bring this innovative program to (Yakima and surrounding communities; and
14ANEcEfS, Lemonade Day is a free program dedicated to teaching children now to
start, own, and operate their own business through the simple and time-honored act of building
and running a lemonade stand whereby young entrepreneurs who participate in the program
earn money and are taught to "spend a little, save a little, and share a little," donating a
portion of their profits to any local-charity of their choice; and
14)JfcERE)L5 Lemonade Day is a day of learning and celebrating (Yakima's future and
on June 6th every citizen has a jo6 either buying or helping children sell lemonade; and
14 fcERE)L5 Lemonade Day is part of Prepared 4 Life, a non-profit organization that
provides fun,proactive, and e. erientialprograms infused with life skills, character education,
and entrepreneurship.
NOW TJFERETOKA I, Patricia Byers, Wtayor of the City of(Yakima and behalf of
the (Yakima City Council do hereby proclaim June 6, 2020 as

in the City of(Yakima and encourage (Yakima residents to purchase a cup of lemonade from one
of the youth participating in the program to demonstrate now our community cares for the
future of youth.
