YAKIMA HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION CITY OF YAKIMA HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION (HPC) Minutes for Meeting on November 13, 2019 Call to Order Chair Cynthia Hall called the meeting to order at approximately 5:30 P.M. II. Roll Call HPC Members Present: Cynthia Hall, Alixanne Pinkerton, Joe Mann, Dawn King HPC Members Absent: Paul Edmondson Quorum: Quorum present Staff: Eric Crowell, Associate Planner Council Liaison: Jason White, District 2 (absent) III. Staff Announcements None noted. IV. Audience Participation None noted. V. Approval of October Meeting Minutes It was motioned by Commissioner Mann and seconded by Commissioner Pinkerton to approve the meeting minutes of October 23, 2019; the motion carried unanimously. VI. New Business A. Certificate of Appropriateness — 2701 W Yakima Ave Associate Planner Eric Crowell summarized the report written by Staff Liaison Trevor Martin regarding an application submitted by Eddie Allan for a certificate of appropriateness for exterior alterations to a house at 2701 W Yakima Ave, located in the Barge -Chestnut Historic District. The Commission and applicant further discussed the proposed alterations and reasoning behind them. Audience member Bryan Evenson, neighbor at 2703 W Yakima Ave, spoke in favor of the request. It was motioned by Commissioner Pinkerton and seconded by Commissioner King to approve the request; the motion carried unanimously.
