SUMMARY EXPLANATION City management recently submitted the 2011 Budget Forecast,
Preliminary Budget and the related Policy Issues documents to City Council and the public
This budget represents staff's projections of revenues and proposed expenditures for the
coming year
Since receiving the proposed 2011 budget, Council has held several study sessions to discuss
the various proposals, clarify issues and has requested additional information on specific items
The Budget Documents and the Council Budget review meetings are all open and available to
the public
1111 The purpose of this Public Hearing is to accept input, comments and /or questions from citizens
and other affected parties regarding the proposed 2011 Budget including all policy issues,
proposed rate increases, and other related budget matters for 2011

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE 2011 BUDGET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Yakima will hold a
public hearing on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at 7 00 p m , or soon thereafter,
in the City Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street, for the
purpose of fixing the budget for the City of Yakima for the fiscal year 2010 Any
taxpayer may appear at said meeting and be heard for or against any part of the
budget.
The preliminary budget of the City of Yakima, Washington, for the fiscal year
2010, is now on file in the office of the City Clerk and in the office of the Director
of Finance and Budget of the City of Yakima A copy of said preliminary budget
will be furnished to any taxpayer who will contact either office in Yakima City Hall,
129 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington
