ITEM TITLE: Discussion regarding mobile application related to real time count
of low-barrier shelter availability

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
As directed by City Council on November 5, 2019, the City of Yakima IT Services Division is
working with other City departments to review a possible application that will "provide real time
account of all available bed space for low barrier shelters to providers, law enforcement, other
emergency responders, as well as city council and staff." At the November 19, 2019 meeting, it
was Council consensus to defer this item to the December 3, 2019 meeting.
