ITEM TITLE: Appointment of Greg Lighty to the Charter Civil Service
Commission

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Per Article XV of the City Charter, by referendum the civil service employees may submit up
to three names for submittal to the City Council for appointment on the Charter Civil Service
Committee. Said referendum was conducted by the City Clerk and concluded October 18, 2019.
The action resulted in the nomination of Greg Lighty for reappointment to the Charter Civil
Service Committee. Ratification by the City Council is required to finalize the reappointment of
Greg Lighty to the Charter Civil Service Commission.
