ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 1976
The City Council met in session on this date at 12:00 Noon in the
iHoliday Inn Restaurant, Yakima, Washington.
Councilmen present at the meeting were Jean R. Allard, Mayor Betty L.
Edmondson, Ralph Holbrook, W. K. "Pete" Moore, Nadine Walker and
; Gordon Wonder. Councilman Dr. Bill Simmons was absent.
Council members held discussion on various City matters. After
;discussion on the proposed Ordinance relating to trafficcontrol
and regulating parking on certain streets, that was continued
from Monday, August 30, 1976, it was MOVED by Holbrook, seconded
by Walker that Ordinance No. 1993, providing for said traffic con-

;ORDINANCE NO. 1993, AN ORDINANCE relating to traffic control;
;authorizing the City Traffic Engineer to establish short term
;parking meter zones; limiting parking time on certain streets;
'designating parking meter zones and establishing time restric-
tions; amending Subsection 9.15.110 (13), and Sections 9.50.520
and 9.50.650, all of the City of Yakima Municipal Code; and de-
claring an emergency.
!Acting City Manager Dick Zais reporting that a request has been
,made for approval of out-of-State travel for Officer John Moon to
transport prisonei%s from. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to Yakima at
'State expense, it was MOVED Moore, seconded by Wonder that said
;travel be approved: carried, Allard, Edmondson, Holbrook, Moore,
;Walker .and Wonder voting aye by voice vote. Simmons absent.
;There being no further business to come before the Council, it was
MOVED by Moore, seconded by Walker that this meeting be adjourned
at the hour of 1:30 P.M.: carried, Allard, Edmondson, Holbrook,
;Moore, Walker and Wonder voting aye by voice vote. Simmons absent.
