Edmondson, Dick Jarms, W. K. "Pete" Moore, Don Schussler and 'Dr. Bill Simmons. Councilmen held general discussion on various City matters. Conference Room at Yakima City Hall. Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Wray Brown, Betty Edmondson, 'Dick Jarms, W. K. "Pete" Moore, Don Schussler and Dr. Bill Simmons. !Community Development Director Fred Stouder reviewed his departmental ;expenditures for 1976. He noted that the budget was balanced :largely from anticipated receipts from the Community Development ' iBlock Grant in 1976, estimated at $527,000. The budget includes,: Housing and Neighborhood Conservation and the Housing Resource , :Center; current planning is underway to develop various program !objectives for housing the Community Development entitlement in 1976. As part of the program, expenditures in this budget include, two housing rehabilitation specialists and one clerk-steno :position. One half of the Director's salary is also budgeted for this account. In the Environmental Planning budget, no ;major changes are estimated; increases are down due primarily Ito salary adjustments. This budget also includes 1/2 of the ;Director's salary. In the Code Administration budget it was noted that inspection iservices for the County will be continued in 1976 under contract 1 ;arrangements with Yakima County. We anticipate $30,000 in i 'revenue support. In the airport budget, the Council was apprised that $22,428 in CETA funding supports three Airport Security Officers' for the first six months. Expenditures have been increased l because of salary adjustments. 1 I 1 ! . - 20 NOVEMBER 19, 1975 - 4:00 P.M. Finally in the Transit Budget, the Council was apprised that Transit was balanced on the anticipated release of $134,000 in State Motor Vehicle Excise Tax funds currently impounded by the legislature. In considering the Community Development Budget, the Council was complimentary to Fred Stouder for his efforts in managing the Community Development Program and meeting federal requirements. No further changes in the budget were recommended at this time. There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Jarms, seconded by Moore that we do now adjourn at the hour of 5:30 P.M.: carried, Broad, Brown, Edmondson, Jarms, Moore, Schussler and Simmons v.tin• aye by voice vote. 0111.
