Minutes for Meeting of June 27, 2018

A. Review & Approve Minutes
The meeting minutes from June 27, 2018 were presented for discussion. A
motion was made by Ms. Kenmotsu to approve as submitted, Ms. Pinkerton
seconded. Motion carried.
B. Grant Update
City staff presented a Certificate of Appropriateness (CoA) for the addition of a
handicap access ramp to the Women's Century Club located at 304 N 2nd St. The
Historic Preservation Commission Reviewed the report and added a series of
conditions to the CoA necessary to be completed in order to make the design of
the ramp comply with the existing architecture of the building design.
C. Next Meeting
The Historic Preservation Commission discussed the event at the Hotel Maison
on August 13, 2018 and hosting a special meeting at the Hotel after a tour of the
building.

D. Public Participation
Joe Mann discussed The fundraiser the Yakima Valley Trolleys would be hosting
on the weekend of July 28, 2018, and that the Historic Preservation Commission
and General Public was welcomed to attend.
Dawn King mentioned she was at the meeting to stay informed about the
activities of the Historic Preservation Commission and any activities on Naches
Ave.
Council Member Jason White donated a map he received from Mayor Coffey for
the Fruit Row project.
IV. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at approximately 6:10 p.m. to the next scheduled meeting
on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hotel Maison.
