Minutes for Meeting of April 26, 2018
CaII to Order
Commission vice Chair Wahl called the meeting to order at approximately 5:30 P.M.

Present: Leslie Wahl, Nancy Kenmotsu, Cynthia Hall
Absent: Alixanne Pinkerton (excused)
Quorum: Quorum present
Staff: Historic Preservation Liaisons Trevor Martin, Colleda
Monick
Council: Jason White (absent)
III. New Business
A. Resignation
Both Commission Chair, Whitney Stohr and Jason Clay have stepped down from
the Commission. There are currently 3 vacancies in total on the Historic
Preservation Commission.
B. Review & Approve Minutes
The meeting minutes from March 28, 2018 were presented for discussion. A
motion was made by Ms. Kenmotsu to approve as submitted, Ms. Hall seconded.
Motion carried.
C. Farmers Market
2018 Farmers Market participation was presented for discussion by Ms. Wahl.
City staff to follow up with Farmers Market Manager about availability, staff will
report back at the next commission meeting.
D. Grant
City staff provided a draft application for commission review for the CLG Grant
funding opportunity to compose a nomination to the National Register of Historic
Places for a Fruit Row Historic District. Ms. Kenmotsu made a motion to approve

the draft and have staff proceed with submitting the application, Ms. Nixon
seconded. Motion carried.
E. Naches Parkway
City staff is still working towards scheduling an exploratory meeting with
residents of the Naches Ave Parkway and the Barge Chestnut Neighborhood
Association.
IV. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at approximately 5:47 p.m. to the next scheduled meeting
on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
