ITEM TITLE: Project Completion and Contract Acceptance for L&S Fencing -
Project 2477 Yakima Wastewater Security Fence

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
City Project 2477 provided for the completion of the security fence installation at the City of
Yakima's Wastewater Treatment Facility. The City contracted with L&S Fencing to complete the
installation of a security fence and the installation of gates. The security fence is to help protect
the public from the hazards of the wastewater treatment facility particularly since the recent design
and construction of the Yakima Greenway has since placed this pathway in close proximity of the
wastewater treatment facility.
Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be
accepted. A final payment of$4,246.99 (5% retainage) is due from the City to L&S Fencing for
the completion of the Wastewater Treatment Facility Security Fence Project.

The total contract cost is for construction only and does not include engineering and other costs.
