not reached at the time of the meeting, the SpGCi8i rn9gUDg of the full City Council was C@nCeUgd and
the event proceeded with its scheduled agenda.

2. Public Safety Forum
Council Member Cousens stated she asked for this forum after several people in her district reached
out to her due to the recent shootings in West Valley.Assistant City Attorney Schaap discussed the
importance of reporting achme when you see one. |rteh0 Police Chief Jones discussed
neighborhood policing and patrolling. Sgt. Cavin and Chief Jones reported OD police officer
recruitment. COnRrnUnih/ Service {lffic8[S8ndinO talked about the following programs: Block Watch,
Safe Cam, and the Crime Free Rental Housing program.
Parks & Recreation Manager Wilkinson discussed West Valley Park. Several community residents
asked questions and rn8d8 3uQgeSdOU8 about lighting and gates at the park.Assistant City Manager
Cortez briefed cO0rOunib/members about Yak Book.

The meeting adjourned at 7 p.m. The next meeting will be a City Council Business meeting on
