ITEM TITLE: Council Healthy Communities and Neighborhood Building
Committee report

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Healthy Communities and Neighborhood Building Committee met on December 13, 2018
and has the following to report on:
1. Recognizing that, on November 20th, the County Commissioners adopted a new model of
homeless administration, the standing agenda item has changed from "Homeless
Operational Model/Administration"to "Homeless Program Operations".
2. "Community and Neighborhood Facilities"has been added as a new standing agenda
item. Mayor Coffey and Councilmember White are on the ad hoc committee for the capital
needs and feasibility study and can report periodically.
3. There was discussion of whether the existing ordinance for junk vehicle regulations is clear
and enforceable. Further discussion is planned for the January meeting.
