SPECIAL MEETING -- MARCH 25, 1980
The Council met in special session on this date at 5:30 p.m. in the
Towne Plaza for dinner and for the purpose of discussing the applicants/.
to be considered to fill the vacancy created in Council District 2, by
the resignation of Councilman Frank Roberts. Council members presenti,
were Mayor Betty L. Edmondson, Henry Beauchamp, Lynn Buchanan, Lynn
Carmichael, Shirley Doty and Don Hinman.
The applicants to'be considered were Bruce Crest, Rex D. Newland, Clar-
ence Barnett, Marles D. McDonald and Tony E. Sloan.
Following discussion the Council determined that they would interview .
three Council candidates on March 28, 1980 at 10:30 a.m. in the Con-

ference Rocm at City Hall. Council candidates to be interviewed were
Bruce Crest, Rex D. Newland and Clarence Barnett.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
