AUGUST 14, 1980
The City Council met in session on this date at 10:00 A.M. at the Sanc-
tuary Restaurant, Yakima, Washington. Council members present were
Mayor Betty L. Edmondson, Lynn Buchanan, Lynn Carmichael, Bruce Crest,
Shirley Doty and Don Hinman. Council member Henry Beauchamp present af-
ter 12:15 P.M.
Council members discussed the City representatives to go to the Republic
of China for the ceremony celebrating the establishment of a Sister City
relationship between the Port of Keelung and the City of Yakima. It was
determined that Council members Buchanan, Carmichael and Crest would
accompany Mayor Edmondson to Taiwan.
It was MOVED by Hinman, seconded by Doty to move into Executive Session
II/
for the purpose of discussing the evaluation of the City Manager:
carried, Buchanan, Carmichael, Crest, Doty, Edmondson,and Hinman voting
aye by voice vote. Beauchamp absent. City Manager Zais joined the
Council members in the Executive Session at 11:45 P.M. Council member
Hinman absent after 12:00 Noon. Council member Henry Beauchamp absent
after 12:50 P.M.
Following the completion of the Executive Session, it was MOVED by Doty,
seconded by Crest that this meeting be adjourned at the hour of 2:00
P.M.: carried, Buchanan, Carmichael, Crest, Doty, and Edmondson voting
aye by voice vote. Beauchamp and Hinman absent.
