Section 1 Section 9 50 215 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows. ;9 50 215 Parking fees for city -owned parking lots A. The following fees shall be paid by any person who parks a vehicle in a city - �owned parking lot (Lots 1, 2 and 4) Lot 5 is free at all times ' 0 -2 hours Free, with receipt described below; One dollar an hour for each additional hour or part thereof; Provided, that no person shall park a vehicle in such parking lot between eight a m and five p m for more than an aggregate of two hours without paying the proper fee except on days designated in subsection B of this section as exempt. I Every person parking in a city owned lot described in this section, that contains a meter station, shall Such fee shall be deposited upon arrival, obtain a receipt from the lina meter station in the parking lot and display the receipt on the vehicle dash, (regardless of whether a fee is required. The purpose of the receipt is to establish time of 'arrival, and if applicable, demonstrate that the appropriate fee has been paid. A vehicle is presumed to be parked overtime when a receipt is not displayed. B The fee schedule in subsection A of this section shall be in force during the hours from eight a.m and five p m , Monday through Friday, with the exception of the following !holidays, Saturdays and Sundays New Year's Day January 1 Martin Luther King, Jr Birthday 3rd Monday in January Washington's Birthday 3rd Monday in February Memorial Day Last Monday in May Independence Day July 4 Labor Day 1st Monday in September Veterans' Day November 11 Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in November Christmas Day December 25 Section 2.
