SUBJECT Citizen (Lynne Kittelson) question from January 8, 2008 Council meeting
regarding the Fairfield Inn sidewalk development
At your meeting on January 8, 2008, Lynne Kittelson asked about sidewalks along the
north side of Fair Avenue
There are three parcels of land abutting the north side of city nght-of-way on this portion
of Fair Avenue As these parcels are developed they are required to comply with Title 12
and to construct curb, gutters and sidewalks
From east to west:
1 Parcel 44002 is the site of the Aspen Hotel and will construct Title 12
improvements along their Fair Avenue frontage including a five foot sidewalk to
match existing sidewalks along, the south side of Fair Avenue The work must be
completed before the hotel opens.
2 Parcel 44031 is the narrowest parcel of the three and is currently vacant. Again,
when it is developed, Title 12 frontage improvements will be required.
3 Parcel 44032 is a legal lot in front of the Fairfield Inn. This parcel is also vacant,
and Title 12 improvements will be required when the property is developed. The
Fairfield Inn was not required to make frontage improvements beyond their
driveway approach.
