ITEM TITLE: Resolution declaring a Ladder Truck to be surplus to the needs of
the City and authorizing its sale through PublicSurplus.com

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The City of Yakima owns a 1995 Simon LTI Ladder Truck (vehicle number TK93) that the Yakima
Fire Department has no foreseeable need for and are seeking a Resolution to declare the vehicle
as surplus to the needs of both the City and YFD. If approved, the vehicle will be sold to the
highest bidder on PublicSurplus.com with a minimum bid of $45,000.00.

RESOLUTION NO. R -2018-
A RESOLUTION Declaring a Ladder Truck to be surplus to the needs of the City of
Yakima, and authorizing its sale through PublicSurplus.com.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima (City) owns one used 1995 Simon LTI Ladder Truck
(vehicle identification number TK93) for which the City and the Yakima Fire Department have no
immediate or foreseeable use and are surplus to the needs of the City and Fire Department;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to sell
said Ladder Truck forthwith through PublicSurplus.com, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned 1995 Simon LTI Ladder Truck
(vehicle identification number TK93) to be surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and the
Yakima Fire Department, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell said
Ladder Truck on PublicSurplus.com.
