Recognition of Yakima Police Explorers

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Yakima Police Explorer Post had the opportunity to attend this year's National Law
Enforcement Explorer Conference in Indiana. The biennial conference focuses on career
opportunities and leadership experiences for young adults interested in pursuing a career in law
enforcement. Along with about 2000 other Explorer participants, our Explorers participated in
leadership seminars and competed in several competitions. The Yakima Police Explorer post
received 1st place for the Arrest and Search scenario competition.
